Ice cream & Old Dreams

Went to Brenham, Texas with my mom today to enjoy some antique shopping, Herman's, Funky Art Cafe and some Blue Bell ice cream at the Blue Bell Factory - Ha, I have to admit it felt like I was in grade school going on a field trip! We weren't allowed to take photos of the actual factory with all the ice cream rolling down the conveyor belt but I did get this paper hat so, I'm okay now!

Old Town Spring

Had a lovely day out in Old Town Spring with my mom and sister in law Bridget. Did a little shopping and had lunch at a tea room. I also just like to get away and feel like I'm in a story book ....

The Glass Coffin - Austin, Texas

As I was attending to vend at a Vampire Ball in Austin Texas, I was also able to visit my friend's gorgeous store (Joey) called The Glass Coffin!

They also sell some of our Thorn & Moon items! A must visit if your ever that way!

Synister on the Strand - Galveston

While we were in Galveston, we wanted to check out a shop called Synister which is located on the Strand in Galveston. As we walked in we were greeted by a lovely girl, Shannon and her charming Sinister furry friend.

It was rad seeing a physical store of this kind since now it seems everything is online only. It's nice to be able to actually SEE and FEEL the items of interest!...and what are the items this shop carries? I would say a Rockabilly/Steam Punk/Touch of Darkness mix of wonders that awaits you to come have a look yourself at 2301 Strand St #102, Galveston, TX 77550.

Paletree Arcana

I Luv Luv Luv the beautiful, magical work that Paletree Arcana creates. I was lucky to pick up this beauty she calls Undine - a water spirit (or nymph) made of Labradorite & Moonstone, two of my most favorites! Antique Whorehouse

Last October, we went to Galveston's Antique Warehouse which was once a brothel (Oleander Hotel) turned into an antique store. Not only is this building creepy cool but so is everything in it for sale - each room with it's Victorian transoms above the doors as you enter the rooms of various sellers. And of course, just the old odd feelings from the residual energies over it's 100 year old past - and may I say, this antique warehouse still honors Madame Kitty in keeping her Ruby Red bedroom.
