Sweet Finds - Bath & Body Works

How stinking cute is this! Bath & Body Works Velvet Sugar! Just in time for Valentine's day, Spring or Summer! I'm pleased to add this doll like scent to my collection - it's girlie crush sweet (but not too sweet), juicy, refreshing and suitable for all ages. It really is a different kind of scent that keeps you guessing!

A tempting blend of red velvet créme swirled with golden plum & sugared musk.
Top Notes: Wild Strawberries, White Nectarine, Pear Blossom, Apple Nectar
Mid Notes: Pink Jasmine, Golden Plum, Red Velvet Créme, Dewy Honeysuckle, Freesia
Dry Notes: Golden Amber, Vanilla , Tolu Balsam, Caramel, Bailey’s Crème, Sugared Musk
Mad About You! The newest Bath & Body Works fragrance - another winner for me! Again perfect for Summer and Spring. This scent is a bit more romantic floral then Velvet Sugar however I'm really happy with both of them.

A love-struck pairing of soft peonies & black currant kissed with creamy vanilla musk
Top Notes: Black Currant, Luscious Strawberry, Sparkling Cassis
Mid Notes: Ginger Lily, Bright Peony, Pink Jasmine
Dry Notes: Amber Wood, White Patchouli, Vanilla Musk

Last we have another new Bath & Body Works fragrance, Sun and the new Kitchen Lemon gentle foaming hand soap.

Sun is nice but not my favorite out of the three - more like my least. It has that sharp note that most fragrances has these days and for me, can give me a headache. I wish I could go for this type of scent, it's just not for me. The Kitchen Lemon hand soap is as sunny as it looks! Can't wait to see what else BBW brings out for the upcoming seasons.

Toys & Books - To Scare You With My Dear

I use to be a huge toy collector as well as Occult books. Over the years I've had to slim down my collection to the items that mean most to me. Here are a few pictures of my collection - again, the colors of some images are distorted for some reason when I upload them on to Blogger ??? Oh well, at least it looks more creepy!

All Of Us

How dreamy it would be to go to a far away place - away from my homeland to see the world. I envy those whose souls were placed in places with so much history - places where my ancestors were from. A place where it actually snows and the seasons changes. A places known for it's love affairs and pain, even places deep within our seas, the core of our Earth and beyond our Stars.

You are envied, just so you know ....

Wet n Wild & Maybelline Reviews

It's been long ago since I've gotten any Wet n Wild cosmetics. I will always remember though, back in the 80s, it was Wet n Wild who brought out the Black Nail polish to local drug stores! What a gasp in society that was! But as I was walking by, this caught my eye - Color Icon 8-pan Eyeshadow Palette in Poster Child. Who could resist this eye candy at $4.99!

WOW! I have to say, I am impressed! Who knew that Wet n Wild would make an eyeshadow with this much smooth pigment with less fallout then some high end brands. No regrets here with this palette!

Here we have the new Maybelline's Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser, Maybelline's Color Sensational Lipstick in Nearly There and Maybelline's Face Studio Master Glaze Glisten Blush Stick in Just-Pinched Pink.

I LOVE Maybelline's Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser! I have tested it with different types of foundation and has come to the conclusion that it works just okay with liquid foundation but excellent with mineral powder foundation. Huge difference!

Just- Pinched Pink Swatch

Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze Glisten Blush Stick in Just-Pinched Pink - I like it! Smooth and creamy at first, dries to a light powdery non-streaky finish. This shade is a light pink flush, perfect for spring.

Maybelline's Color Sensational Lipstick in Nearly There - This has to be my third one. I always keep this moisturizing easy shade on hand for a natural look day or night.

Nearly There Swatch

Here I am wearing Maybelline's Color Sensational Lipstick in Nearly There.

Something Black & Something Red

Vintage Clothing, a wonderful love affair ... how envied one would be to find such rarities as these!

Spellbinding

Hello Everyone! Today I'm going to review this gifted (my sweetheart) Spellbinding Look Kit by Kat Von D from Sephora! When I saw this 5 piece set, I knew I had to have it! I love Kat Von D's makeup as is - I have a few of her items already in my collection. My only complaint is the lipstick - it has no scent except obviously what it's made from which can be kind of stale tasting at times however the colors are gorgeous!

Here I have the Spellbinding look - I'm wearing The True Romance Eye Shadow Palette (Poetica) in Babe, Wonderland and You Alone. The Autograph Pencil Eyeliner in Puro Amor and the Sin-Full Lash Mascara in Puro Amor. On lips, Foiled Love Lipstick in F.T.W.

Foiled Love Lipstick in F.T.W.

Look how multidimensional this beautiful color is!

It's a dark shimmery red raspberry color with a deep pink base.

I love the metal compact design. These colors are from left to right - Forgiveness, Sand Timer, Chandler, Tijuana, Wonderland, Shiba, Babe, and You Alone. These are nice pigmented colors! Forgiveness does have a bit more of a fallout over the others but overall I'm happy with this palette and the Autograph Pencil Eyeliner in Puro Amor that came with it.

Sin-Full Lash Mascara Puro Amor - Love it! Thanks goodness for the fat old school brush like this one!

Autograph Pencil Eyeliner in Immortal Love. A sweet chocolate brown.

Eyeshadow swatches from left to right - Wonderland, Shiba, Babe & You Alone.

From Top to Bottom - Forgiveness, Sand Timer, Chandler, Tijuana.

A closer look at Chandler & Tijuana.

Wow, these are so smooth and deep. Stays put! Autograph Pencil Eyeliner in Immortal Love & Puro Amor.

What are your thoughts on Kat Von D's Makeup?

Finding Treasures

I love just browsing around, admiring what's out there, learning about history/future and just being with friends & family in many different atmospheres. I find it to be very therapeutic as well as an easy getaway that could be just across the road! These finds are from my local Heights 19th Street.

A Taste of Violets

Here are a few new items of Beauty, Trinkets & Gifts. All of these things are a good representation of who I am - a long lost soul from the past, who hold's dear, beauty of our past lives.

This is a tattered antique French silk lamp shade from the late 1800 gifted from my Aunt Missy.

Missy also gave me this vintage soft blue milk glass lamp. I love lamps and if I could have it my way, my home would be full of them!
Bottle's and Potions - such dainty vintage delights. The one on the left belonged to my grandmother and the one on the right belonged to Missy since she was a child.
My beautiful Gypsy box from Ashley, crescent moon Flapper pill box by Miss Scarys 13, vintage broach, my taste for flowers - Violet Mints from Chowards (World Market).

Vintage broach - I love to collect these!

Revlon Parfumerie nail polish. I just love these bottles! Spun Sugar has the sent of Angel and Autumn is scented like warm spices.
