When my daughter was born, I told her that each Halloween, I would make her a Halloween Dress for as long as she wants me too! I wanted to also have a special keepsake for her to have and save, something from me - made by me. Now we have 5 Halloween dresses, 1 skirt and 1 extra dress. 7 in all! Bella's Halloween Día de Muertos party was so much fun! We grilled some pork, tamales and roaster corn with spanish rice, beans and all the mexican food sides and sweets! Much celebration was had, we all had a good time with friends and family!

This past weekend I visited the Scarecrow Festival in Chapel Hill, Texas - a small town between Austin and Houston. This is the 3rd year we have attended followed by some more old town shopping/dining in a historic shopping setting in Brenham, Texas. I love walking into an old building with big, tall, heavy doors with creaking wood floors and burning candles hiding the musty aroma these old buildings give off.

I am so happy over this vintage sterling necklace! Love at first sight! My new favorite!

Interesting little black vintage purse. My favorite is opening it to see what the inside looks like! What color is it will also decide if it shall be mine!

Yay! I was surprise to find the inside being a beautiful Plum Satin! Yes!

AND I found this cute black vintage lipstick container to go with the purse.

This is not vintage but I picked up this awesome compact last week!

Batober

I love Flying Fox Bats! I sooo wish I could foster these beauties - but we don't have them here where I live.

I can enjoy numerous sites ( http://www.bats.org.au/ ) - ( Gilbert the Bat ) documenting their kindness in saving these creatures of the night! On this Batober month, please donate if you can, to help these non government funded volunteers to save the beautiful Flying Fox!
